The roughness of the corduroy quilt pets my face softly but strong enough to open my eyes. 

The blanket whips off my body exposing me to the cold air. Energized from the lingering excitement from a joyous dream I can't remember the plot, but a small feeling gives me a boost. Feet are thrown into the air as I stretch my back and squish my toes in between the top bunks’ air mattress and planks of wood that the mattress is laying on. I like the pressure on my feet and keep them there as long as I can withhold the pain. 

Like being squeezed by someone in the morning.. An abrasive kind of physical love I first felt from this bunk bed. 

If you would like to feel this squishing sensation to extinguish your morning haze you can wrap yourself like a taquito really tightly in your blanket or invest in a weighted blanket. Or find a lover, they might be up to squeeze you. &#38;nbsp; 

I begin to get light headed from keeping my legs up so high and squishing my neck from lifting my body to tuck into the planks, and by tiny body plops down onto the bed some pillows fall off the bed probably. Though maybe not because my body was small I don't know if it would have enough force to make anything fly off my bed like that. I bet if I recreated this all now in that bunk bed with my big adult sized body it would make a pillow fly off. 

I am alone in this room. I don't feel alone. I can basically see someone cooking through the wall where on the other side through a few layers of drywall lays the kitchen.

Basil [Manjericão]: Shits. I burned the goddamn pancake. Trash. What a waste. Did you know I spent ten dollars on this flour? Gluten free my ass. Never going back to that store again. I mean how are we supposed to eat with those prices? Everybody over there is rich. Shittiest rich person store I have ever been to. Great fried chicken though. But it’s not gluten free. 

Josefina: The Everhearts also bring it to the pool and I eat it when no one is watching. It’s like crack.

Basil [Manjericão]: What do you know about crack? You're too funny.

Josefina: It’s more of a feeling you know. Just like DRUGS .

Just make sure you sign your name so when people buy them and then you get famous shortly they'll know they have something really good already because of that fantastic F in your signature. Josefina: I have a lot to do today. I'm going to Sears with Sophie and you know her family doesn't eat ever. I have to save up, fill up. Get full.

Josefina: No, they do, they have so much food and an extra big room full of it too. But, they don't get hungry ever. I never see them eat. I think they only need to eat every two or three days.
